Alimony & Dowry – Evils attached!

Don’t kill me if our views don’t match because if you kill me, I will haunt you forever and be a pain in your ass and I am sure you don’t want that. Right?

So, moving on … In the midst of all the hue and cry on my Facebook wall over a simple question of Dowry and Alimony, if they are same or not and should be legal or not! I would like to thanks all my friends who contributed and showed what you all think about it.

I know some of you who are against dowry will definitely take it or give it in the name of Society and Parental pressure, which according to me is “Bullshit”! And yes, giving gifts is dowry as well (In case you didn’t know).

Now! My views?

Alimony and Dowry!  They aren’t same.

Starting with Dowry, by now the above paragraph might have given you some idea of what I feel about it. It is outright disease which is eating us inside out. As per an article – Dowry is an ancient custom, and its existence may well predate records of it. Dowries continue to be expected, and demanded as a condition to accept a marriage proposal, in some parts of the world, mainly in parts of AsiaNorth Africa and the Balkans. In some parts of the world, disputes related to dowry sometimes result in acts of violence against women, including killings and acid attacks. The custom of dowry is most common in cultures that are strongly patrilineal and that expect women to reside with or near their husband’s family (patrilocality). Dowries have a long history in Europe, South Asia, India, Africa and other parts of the world.

It is good to see people coming out and speaking about dowry, but in my whole lifetime, I haven’t seen one wedding which had no links to dowry at all. And I am not talking about rural weddings. I am talking about FAT INDIAN Weddings!! And not just Punjabi weddings but all kinds of castes (I hate fucking caste system as well but that topic is for some other day).

The only reason why it’s being termed as big topic in India is probably we are waking up now & it’s all over news. My respect to all those women who opposed it and broke those marriages.

And my middle finger to all those men, father in laws, mother in laws, fathers and mothers who agreed for dowry.

On a serious note, it’s the biggest issue in India because here, a woman is worst enemy of the other.

All the mothers and mother in laws are at fault. I hope the new generation mothers and mother in laws won’t be such a pain in the ass. Plus these are the same aunties who force marriage down your throat and later comment on how many gold and cash you took or gave.

But just talking about it won’t solve the problem, where does the issue lie? When was the last time you saw a girl getting married to a guy who is socially and financially weaker to her? NONE! The men these days are judged on the basis of money he earns or has, size of his house and size of his car. I understand one doesn’t want their daughter to spend life with no luxuries but isn’t that also a kind of dowry? I know this can be associated with Bride Price or Dower but those are different than this. I have explained those below.

For now!! Remember, NOBODY gives a fuck about LOVE!  (If you do, drink some water and cool down)

rebellion

Many of you might not know but there are two other practices – of bride price and dower. While bride price or bride service is a payment by the groom or his family to the bride’s parents, dowry is the wealth transferred from the bride’s family to the groom or his family, ostensibly for the bride. Similarly, dower is the property settled on the bride herself, by the groom at the time of marriage, and which remains under her ownership and control. In Islam, this concept is called Mahr which is a mandatory payment, in the form of money or possessions paid or promised to pay by the groom, or by groom’s father, to the bride at the time of marriage, which legally becomes her property. While the mahr is often money, it can also be anything agreed upon by the bride such as jewelry, home goods, furniture, a dwelling or some land. Mahr is typically specified in the marriage contract signed during an Islamic marriage

Also, dowry in India may have started in Hindu culture, it’s now a part of Muslim and Christians as well. Believe or not, it is. There have been cases in all the religions. Don’t agree? Open you fucking eyes or Google it.

On the other hand, Alimony is something which is best explained by Lawyers Club India – The general perception is that the person initiating a divorce shall not be entitled to any financial support from their spouse. This, however, is not entirely true. It all depends on the financial position of the spouse. In the event of the wife not being able to sustain herself financially, or having no source of income for herself, she then is entitled to an allowance as maintenance. On the other hand, if she is earning sufficiently well for herself, she cannot claim any maintenance. Herein, an interesting question arises, ‘ whether a husband has any right to claim maintenance from his wife’. The answer is, surprisingly, in the positive. Under the Hindu Marriage Act, this provision has raised many an eyebrow. To put it simply, depending on the circumstances, a husband also has the right to ask for alimony.

As is prevalent in our Indian society, the wife is mostly a homemaker. Thereby, a major part of our female population never ventured out from the cozy comforts of her home to earn for a living. Thus, being, more relevant, the word ‘maintenance’ came to be associated with women, almost to the point of being synonymous with the weaker s*x. However, the Indian Judiciary being very fair, came to the rescue of the husband. According to Hindu Law, the husband also has the right to claim maintenance which is subject to certain conditions. In the event of the husband becoming incapacitated due to some disease or accident, and thereby, is rendered incapable of earning for a livelihood, he then has the right to claim alimony. At the same time, one should bear in mind that if the husband is an able person in every sense of the word, and yet does nothing for a living; he cannot be entitled to any maintenance. The Court of Law provides no relief to a wastrel.

Now answer my question – Why Hrithik Roshan paid Rs 380 Crores to Suzzane Khan? Why Sanjay Dutt paid Rs 8 Crores to Rhea Pillai?

There might be many more examples but were these 2 women incapable of earning? As far as I know they both had well settled businesses at the time of divorce.

Hence the concept of Alimony is subjective. Some don’t take it and some don’t get it. And there are many out there who take it even if they don’t need it.

Be it dowry or Alimony – It’s all about the fucking money. This society is all about money these days! If you say you are not, all the best living in denial and may your soul be blessed! I will see you in hell.

The solution? None. Nobody can change it. We will continue to live in denial.

Think about it….

Unless an asteroid hits the earth and kill humanity! 🙂 #JustKidding ..

Breathe in….. Breathe Out…… Try to live 🙂 properly.

Life friendly NCR roads

Commuting 80 Kms everyday between Office and Home, makes me realize how amazing the roads are these days. Everyday we ride/drive with our lives on the line to reach our destinations. As per a new report from Indian Express, Delhi has highest fatalities in road accidents but barely any data.

This means that no matter what NCR is top on the death chart. And we are all the angels of death on the road. It is funny when people say it’s not them. Let’s be honest, we don’t know how to drive and even if we know how to drive, we are so frustrated to drive properly because of some or the other reason. So basically we are shit loads of death drivers. Some of us sold our lands to buy Audi, Porche or Mercedes, some of us got big cars on loan and now we show off. Some of us are riding through daily struggle. Personally, I am not afraid of death, it will come at the right time, but I don’t wanna die coz of some asshole idiot who did not know how to handle his ride.

We are just having fun over corpses.

There are many ways in which we can put an end on this though. Sadly, nobody would give a damn about this, I am aware, however, below are my thoughts.

1. Education – We teach our kids to look left, right and left before crossing a road but why the hell can’t we teach them basic rules of driving in school and colleges? Accept it or not, I see kids driving and riding these days and their parents get them all kinds of vehicles these days which we had to beg for. And got slapped for too. Lol.. you see, parents back then I guess were sensible enough or maybe some of them. Those who are adult enough like you, reading this blog post cannot be taught since we think we know it all. Let me laugh it off bluntly on the face.. LMAO!! But we seriously need to educate everyone. Rules are meant to be broken, ok.. but why break lives and families? Who gave you the fucking right? One should be taught right from the school that the road doesn’t belong to their father or grandfather.

2. DTC | Autos | Gramin Seva – Well! They all go to the same school to learn “how NOT to drive”. The way they change lanes suddenly is an art and most frustrating thing in the world. They stop anywhere, be it in the middle of the road and turn with no indicator. I don’t know how can someone see the bus driver’s hand out his window to take the turn. They should be fined or imprisoned if not found in dedicated lanes. We are promoting public transports but who will teach them how to drive?

3. Fine and Impound wrong side drivers – These are the biggest cause of accidents on the roads. Be it a bike, bullock cart, truck or any other vehicle, everyone is a threat. The idiots don’t realize that the turns maybe a little ahead. Rather than that, they prefer to drive on the wrong side. And they come in all the lanes, left, middle, right, you name it!! There is no rule! And then we have those idiots who switch to the wrong side the moment they see a traffic Jam ahead. They go to the front of the line and cause more Jam since the oncoming traffic forces them to sneak back into the line causing more mess. Such drivers should be fined heavily and vehicles impounded.

4. Cab drivers – Talk about NCR accidents, how can we miss the cabs plying to and fro Noida and Gurgaon. They are most of the time drunk, do not know how to drive, rude and they just try to be F1 racers with their ass on fire. In order to get paid, they just keep running 24×7 and have caused accidents time and again. Those people who use such cabs are also to be blamed. The shit heads call themselves educated but do not have a conscience to ask the driver to slow down. Cancellation of licenses and impound of cabs should be considered for these cab drivers.

5. Minimum speed limit on right most lane – If you want to reach your destination on time, never use the right most lane. This is a fact in India. The right most lane is the slowest here unfortunately. You will find idiots on phone, idiots scared of driving, idiots learning how to drive, idiots talking to each other while driving/riding, idiots in trucks, idiots in cars, idiots in buses and basically all the idiots. We should have a minimum limit set for the right most lane. Below which the person should be fined.

6. Speed breakers & Barricades – We know how to make sea link bridge, Barapulla bridge and many other big structures but we can never learn how to make a fucking speed breaker. It’s supposed to break the speed and not the vehicle. Some of them are so poorly made and have caused disasters. Be it internal road or highway, such speed breakers are the sickest thing ever. Problem is, everyone hates them but still they come out in the middle of the roads during the night, I have no fckng idea how or who made them. The same is barricades. They are put up on the most heaviest route causing long traffic jams. What is the use of barricades on highways, still trying to find out. I mean we have the supercars and bikes coming in India but there are no roads to drive them. This is how India will develop and have smart cities?

7. High Beams – There is no point writing anything on this topic because everyone knows what high beams cause yet we use them everywhere. While driving, while parking, while doing anything.. The white ones are even more hazardous but wait it wasn’t enough, we will put fucking blinking lights on our bikes. Put Dipper, Put Deeper or Put Diaper in night but put such bikers behind the bars.

8. Better Policing and infrastructure – Last but not the least, all the above issues cannot be solved without an efficient police force and good road infrastructure. Roads with no potholes and proper design can reduce the accidents and proper placement of traffic police can bring down the number of offenders. On highways and major intersection, one cannot find traffic police. Hence offenders think that road belong to them.

On that last note, just want to add that I have no idea what the mothers were reading or watching when these idiots were born. Maybe they were playing NFS or GTA.

Think about it…

More than BABAs’ and MAAs’

Disclaimer – Whatever you are going to read below is not meant to harm any one individual. It is not against anyone and it is my personal view. Don’t kill me for my views!!

It is that phase of life when you are busy with balancing professional and personal life. When you leave early for office and reach home late. Personal life is restricted to weekends, sometimes that too is questionable. Finding peace is difficult than finding fanny. And Alice! who the f**k is Alice becomes Life! What the F**K is life?

During this phase, and on a particular day, I sat on my Enfield by the road side and thought about how we are finding spirituality and peace through self-proclaimed BABAs and MAAs.
Someone is in Jail, someone is making movies, someone is in the process of going to Jail but is releasing videos of dancing around and others! Well others are either dead or on still around.

The real question I want to ask here is, what have we learnt from them? Are we more spiritual? Are we more tolerant? Are we more compassionate towards other humans.
If going to Guruji’s ashram or putting Guruji sticker on the car or getting the name tattooed doesn’t make you “Human”, what the hell are you doing in your life? This is an insult to the person whom you are following and to yourself. When was the last time you helped some stranger? Or did something for the society you live in?

I meet a lot of people in my daily life and observe a lot of people, I do not see any change. The followers seem to forget that real respect for your gurus is not in putting stickers or their photos in your rooms. It is about implementing those ideas in your life and be more passionate and tolerant. If you are not growing spiritually, what is the point of following someone. You are just a flaw.
A lot has changed during these years in India, what we wear, how we party, how we show off, our personalities, how we live, how much money we have and how we use it, the only thing that has not changed is, we refuse to grow our brains. We refuse to accept that everyone is equal. A guy who has a Jaguar may not show respect to a Pulsar guy. They will keep honking at each other on the road trying to literally kill each other on the road yet it’s amusing to see both having Guruji stickers on their vehicles.

Then we have art of living people, Osho people, Asaram followers, MSG followers, Radhe Maa followers, etc.. (I am sorry if I missed your name here, but get the pun).

We have so many Gurus around and the count of followers is in millions, yet we cannot live a simple life. Yet we are not satisfied with what we have and yet we try to choose the evil’s path to achieved all our desires. We are just not satisfied.

Every religion teaches us to love every human and treat everyone equally. If you can’t do that, you are a shame on that religion.

I personally respect all religions and sects but I refuse to follow anyone. Just because, I know I am not perfect but atleast I have a conscience on how to grow spiritually. Yes, I get frustrated! Yes, I abuse when I am frustrated but I know my limits and when to stop.

Get the hell out of that shell or bubble you live in! If you are a follower, follow the teachings and ideas, not the individual or a trend. Have some conscience and don’t harm anyone intentionally.

In the end, everyone dies.

Spirituality is a fashion!

——so please don’t kill me for my views. I respect your views. Read mine——-

Remember those days when temples were the places to get some peace and attain some level of spiritualism. Once upon a time!…

It happens still? Are you kidding me?

Temples are a fashion now. They are like exhibitions and expos’ where people go to look around, picnic, Facebook check-in and what not!. Sure, some old guys and gals (Above 40) do go to seek peace in their lives. My post is based and targeting the generation, I belong to. It’s been 5 minutes in writing this post and already 5 friends on FB have checked in at Guruji Bade Madir, Akshardham and some babaji’s temple in Rishikesh.

And then it is about putting Guruji stickers on the cars, huge crowds, deafening noise in the temples and recently the most shocking thing ever – Guruji Tattoos. I hope whoever this guy was, did not want his followers to do such thing.

My encounter with Guruji and respective items began when my mom started visiting this temple with my aunt who is a follower. They say he was the incarnation of Lord Shiva. Ok! I will believe you only if you tell me which evil was destroyed by him. I hope you know what Trinity stands for? Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.

I do not believe in idols, so for me Brahma – Parents (who give us life), Vishnu – our Righteousness and Shiva – our Conscience. If you can control and listen to all three, you have achieved spirituality.

But in the end, materialism takes over. See, I am not judging you but everyone needs to understand that fashion and showing off should have some limit. There are two types of youth I see today; one is rebellious, questioning who is God and the other are those who just go and pray. Those who pray are then divided into sub categories of those who follow the hype by others and it’s the majority. Only a handful pray for growing spiritually. Choose which one you want to be. Nothing is right or wrong. It’s about making a choice.

So coming back to the topic of Guruji. See, I have been to the temple but technically speaking, like all other temples, here also things are commercialized. I sat and observed. Keeping those handful aside who came looking for real answers. Others were busy clicking selfies, doing a check-in, discussing relatives, relationships and the rest had just come because I guessed they followed the hype.

While I was noting down (these points), a couple came and sat beside me. They were talking about who has checked-in on Facebook. I tired asking them why they come to this temple only to find that they had come because their friends had come here. And on Guruji, they said, he was an incarnation of Lord Shiva. While the talk was on, enters a girl who has a tattoo – Guruji (with his signature). When I asked them why they follow Guruji and not directly Shiva, they were all confused. Clearly, they had not seen what Guruji had done, it was all about word of mouth from one person to another.

Pls note, here, I am not trying to tell you that he didn’t do anything, I am just trying to put through a thought that maybe he wanted you to live a simple life, attain spiritualism and be good to others. Clearly, he didn’t want you to commercialize his or Shiva’s name.

Wearing a fashion accessory is easy, but when brain becomes a fashion accessory, it is not a way to live life. Rather than going to such temples just for fun, pls go to some NGO, Pet care centers, Kids care centers or any such place and check-in there so that others get to know about such places and get a push to visit such places and do some good work for those who need your time and money.

Acid on God’s face

There was a time when people were scared maybe of no one but god. Be it any religion. Accept it, everyone used visit temples, mosques, gurudwaras, churches, etc. to seek salvation and purify themselves for any wrong deed committed. But since couple of years, I don’t think we any longer have fear of God! Yes, many scriptures and text say that we should not fear god since he is our guide and our friend. I guess we have taken it too seriously. Every day we commit a wrong deed/crime and we seek salvation. We spend crores of money for our salvation but not once for the ones who need it. Similarly, every religion’s text says that we should love each other and live in harmony. Are we actually doing that? I ask!

Fucking no! Hell no! What the hell are we doing? Even animals are much more civilized than us. Every day we hear about the acid attacks on women. Majority of these cases are of people in love be it one sided or a failed love. I mean what is the definition of love? Should it be demanded or forced? There was a time when love meant care and compassion. If your mother loves you less than your brother, will you throw acid on her? There is no statistics or analysis which can show us the cases of acid attacks in India. Only thing which is there is the AFSI http://www.asfi.in/ which has posted recent data but since previous years data is not available it is hard to confirm on the numbers of cases. Durga Prasad Shukla, a member of NGO Chhanv, said “Government data shows that there were 60 cases of acid attacks in the last two years but, according to our own survey, we found the number to be close to 256,”

There was a report in TOI in January this year. Government data on acid attacks point to patriarchal societies such as UP, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana—among states with worst sex ratios—accounting for most number of victims while those with greater role for women, such as the Northeast, having negligible number of such attacks. The data, collected for 2010, 2011 and 2012, assume significance in the light of the December 3 Supreme Court order, directing all states and union territories to frame rules on acid sale by March this year. While a total of 57 cases with 65 victims were recorded in 2010, in 2012 the figure jumped to 85 cases with 101 victims. Delhi, UP, Punjab, Haryana and Bihar together accounted for 53% of all victims. In fact, Delhi (31 victims) and UP (39 victims) alone accounted for 27% of all victims (264) in the country between 2010 and 2012.
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Acid-attacks-highest-in-patriarchal-societies-Delhi-among-worst-states/articleshow/28692801.cms

New laws, ban of sale of acid, etc can only reduce this number. Those who have lost their mental state will find a new way in future. One should realize that a failed relationship or a girl saying no is not a slap on your ego. It is just a fucking simple “No”. If you are not scared of law, be afraid of your god.

If as an atheist, I can understand the nature of this universe, you too can right? But you don’t want to accept anything. Power and Money are two main factors we are fighting for but we forget that compassion and love are bigger and valuable assets. I am not saying or asking you to live in poverty and succumb to someone’s power. I am just asking you to be wise and give a thought. If anyone says anything about your god, you are ready to burn down the whole town but at the end you are also ready to burn a face without thinking what your god will say once you are done in this world….

Stop being an ass and accept the truth!

Think about it!!

What are we becoming?

Moving on is a bitch..

Few years back, moving on from a relationship that lasted for 5-6 years nearly had wrecked the soul inside. But 6 months in alcohol and marijuana revealed that not only its imprudent and dumb but of no worth at all. The mind plays puzzles and you are entombed in the vicious circle of doleful games and choked with grief. Relationships work and sometimes they don’t. And when they end, we are not able to measure the life and breaths that awaits us ahead. Well, sure it happens since we are humans. But on the contrary, I would term myself as a realist. I feel pain and there was a time I cried too but then I realized it is all bullshit. Love is a choice, not something written in destiny. First love or last love do not exist. It is about choosing the imperfect person who is perfect for you and spending the rest of your life with that person. Feelings develop and may reach a point where you commit everything to that person. But one should remember that feelings one day may go up and down, one should not lose faith in love or in oneself. You are perfect for someone with all the imperfections. People may change during the course of time, the key is to accept the change. Tolerance is the lever which can help two souls sail together in this sea called life.

It is really hard to move on but every beautiful thing in life is hard. Accepting it and enjoying every moment can help you, really! Mind plays a lot of games but at the end of the day it is yours, right? You need to control the thoughts which is one hell of a task but trust me it will help you. You are awesome. I mean it. We all have an attitude and usually show it off to others. It should be saved for the mind. When life gives you lemons, drink it with a tequila. It is a ghissi pitti (Weird and outdated) line, I know, but also true! So, tell me what is wrong in moving on. Things did not go well, part of life. You really wanna cry about it whole life? Wrong option! Get up and out of that notion. Find a reason to smile and to be happy.

One of my favorite line from Kung Fu Panda 2 is You gotta let go o f that stuff from the past ’cause it just doesn’t matter! The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now.

Past is gone, it will not come back. And to be honest, don’t let it come back on you..

I am a bad person if

How do you define a person is bad? It is by the deeds one do, right? Is this also valid for the person who is due to one or the other reason not able to give time to friends. The questions are many but the only solution is that person is being killed from inside too. You need to realize that. Just claiming that you are bad and you do not bother, will not help anyone.

The past plays an important role in one’s life. I am not saying one should carry it whole life. Past is to leave behind and forget but the after effects of any event in past do leave a mark on our present and future. Today, I have been tagged as a person who is bad and do not make any attempt to correct things. but nobody wants to look why it happens. The people, I consider close are not understanding that. I know this will go away but it all in the moment, right? And, right now, it is one such moment. I do not wanna loose all of them but I am in an internal turmoil myself.

I have never used anyone or played with anyone’s heart. I am just trying to live my life which I was deprived of since long. I love making friends, that’s true but I am a free spirit. I cannot be chained. I challenge the laws of society every now and then. Does this mean I am bad? There is a common mistake and misunderstanding that if one needs to be grounded which is wrong. I am not made for this. I was caged all my life, now I am getting a chance to fly so why should I ask others for the permission? Why those who care for me should try to hold me back?

Concur that I am bad at time management but it doesn’t mean I am bad at managing people.
Ok fuck it… I can’t type more. Zyada senti hua to I won’t be able to work more.
