Beardo Products Review

Disclaimer – This is my personal review based on my experience with Beardo products which I have been using since last 2 months now.

Today, I will be reviewing three products,

  1. Beardo Beard Wash (Black Velvette) ,
  2. Beardo Beard Oil (The Black Velvette) and
  3. Beardo Charcoal Activated Soap.

Now, before we start, let me bring to your notice that there aren’t many products in Market for Mooch and Beard. And a lot of products available online are sold at such a huge price because they are either imported by dealers in wholesale and sold at high price or some shitty products which can spoil your beard.

So, whoever Gillette is, tell her bitch, Beardo is here.

Prior to using Beardo, I was using Ustraa and MisterMan Beard products. They were the only product available in India at least to my knowledge. Beside these, we had to rely on Shampoos, Conditioners and beard wax. I even ended up making myself a DIY wax and Oil using YouTube. Looking at the increasing fashion of growing a beard and maintaining it among men, needed some serious products catering to this demand. Then I came across Beardo. They have such a huge collection with various choice of fragrances and stuff.

Well as you are aware, beard is the new sexy but looking at the Indian Beards, they are more like pubic hair when grown to lengths (Blame it on the pollution and humidity and whatever you want). But it is the truth! Right? With the earlier products of Ustraa and Misterman, I wasn’t very happy, to be honest. I used Ustraa for sometime and it was not bad but for long term, I wanted something more serious. It has been 7 years since I clean shaved, only trimmed. Ustraa products didn’t seem more feasible for maybe my beard type.

So after a big research, I finally chose Beardo products. I bought it 2 months ago and have been using it since then. I am a cynical kind of person, so you will get both pros and cons below. Stay tuned…

Let’s start with what finished first..

  1. Beardo Charcoal Activated Soap.

Well, I travel a lot and most of my commuting is on my Enfield which means a lot of dirt and pollution all over my body. So, I was on a look out for a soap that could help me replenish what gets lost. Apart from charcoal, it is written that ingredients like coconut oil (for cleansing), sugar (nature’s scrubber), castor oil (skin tightening), aloe vera (freshness and moisturising), cedarwood oil (for freshness) and patchouli oil (for disinfectant properties) as well as glycerin (for glowing skin) are present in this soap.

On a personal front, I liked the soap. It really did help me get rid of dirt and grime. It also leaves a pleasant fragrance (manly enough). Though the soap could have been a little stronger in what it does (charcoal content).

VerdictBuy it here if you are looking for a nice charcoal alternative to your Dove or Lifebuoy.

2. Beardo Beard Oil (The Black Velvette)

The beard and mooch tonic is also a great product to use. I personally loved the old school and black velvette aroma. It is really refreshing and leaves the beard ready to be groomed and leaves your lady drooling. It leaves your beard smooth and moisturized. Beardo oil is definitely recommended.

And last but not the least, the beard wash is amazing. It is better than Ustraa one because it doesn’t dry out your beard. It keeps it conditioned. Apart from leaving a pleasant aroma and great texture, it really makes the hair tangle free and removes any dirt or garbage stuck in there. Only catch it, do remember to groom it further using comb and drier to make it straight. But anyways, that is something you will have to do yourself.

I still use my DIY products but these products from Beardo have really eased my pains in the butt.

Verdict

Go ahead and use the products. It’s better to have a groomed beard rather than pubic hair on the face. Oh yes! I know you know what I mean! Looking forward to use more products. Will review rest and post soon. Till then! Have fun with the mooch & beard! GROW!

7 ways to a happy beard in India

When you are living in a tropical place like India the biggest issue you face is when the beard starts to grow long. The hot and humid climate takes a toll on your facial hair and if not taken care of, it can start looking like pubic hair. Yeah, I know you are nodding your head while you are reading this in agreement.

So here are few steps from my personal experience that might come handy and be useful for you. It’s been around 6 years since I have gone clean shaven. It doesn’t mean I have a beard which is almost touching my knees. I mean, yeah it would have grown that long but then I would have settled in Himalayas.

Phew, coming back to the topic. Here are 7 ways to keep your beard happy.

  1. Patience – You need to have patience when growing a beard. It will not grow in couple of weeks. If in the starting you start to look like a coconut with few hairs, it’s ok, it’s natural. Wait it out. There’s a two week period where you have the puffy headed look of a Monchichi, and there isn’t a damn thing that you can do about it. However, keep oiling the beard with coconut or any other oil once or twice a week before shower. Because, since it is growing up, it needs nourishment.Screen-Shot-2014-08-15-at-3.12.47-AM
  2. Beard Comb – Grab a wooden beard comb and don’t use the usual hair brush or comb. You can get a beard comb around any Gurudwara or ask any of your sardar friend.

  3. Beard Oil – Coconut and other oils are naturally good but if you need to take a further step, buy beard oil. They are now available in India. Initially, I started using Ustra Beard products but soon I realized they are not yet perfect. The Beard wash leaves your beard frizzy and the beard oil is all scent and no oil. Highly disappointed. On the other hand, currently I am using Beardo products and they are better than Ustra. Costly maybe but quality is better. So based on your budget grab a beard oil.

  4. Beard Wash or Soap – Honestly, they both do the same thing. Washing your beard with soap will strip out all the oils completely, which seems like it would make your beard less controllable, right? Well, it does. Hence, whatever your mom or girlfriend says, don’t wash the beard with soap or shampoo or beard wash too often. This will also remove all the naturally generated body oil and leave your skin and beard dry.
  5. Trimming – Yes, don’t be afraid to trim your beard once in a while. This will not only help in growth but will keep your beard in proper shape while growing. Get rid of those frizzy hair trying to stand on their own outwards.6aa0bcc486592fb049a2403cd82ba2f6
  6. Beard Wax – This is optional. But it is crucial, once your beard grows out and starts crossing the neck, it will go in whatever the fucking direction it wants to. To keep it under check, keep beard wax handy. Again, you can buy this from anywhere. Or you can even use Hair Gel. Just apply a small amount and you will be fine.
  7. Go deaf – THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE. The whole world will go against you. Apne to Apne nahi hote when it comes to growin a beard. So whatever your mom, girlfriend, boss and those irritating relatives tell you, your name is whatever it is and you are not a terrorist. Just have patience and keep trimming it and oiling it. You will be fine.

Ustraa – Review

Not tested on animals, only on rascals.

This is my personal review, hence please note, this is based on my experience with Ustraa products.

Today, I will be reviewing two products, Ustraa Mooch & Beard Tonic and Ustraa Beard Wash. mooch-tonic-beard-wash

Before we go ahead, let me be clear that there aren’t many products in Market for Mooch and Beard. Since, the market is filled with shitty fairness and what not creams and products, Ustraa was a delight in area of grooming for Men. Whoever Gillette is, tell her bitch, Ustraa is here. 🙂 And those who wanted Men to be fair and handsome need to get a life. Prior to using Ustraa, I was using MisterMan Beard Oil (MisterMan Store). It was the only product available in India. Except this, we had to rely on Shampoos, Conditioners and beard wax. I even ended up making myself a DIY wax and Oil using Youtube. Looking at the increasing fashion of growing a beard and maintaining it among men needed some serious products catering to this demand. Ustraa hit on right notes at the right time.

The parent company,  Happily Unmarried has been in the market since a long time and has made a huge name for itself.

Everyone knows that beard looks sexy but looking at the Indian Beards, it’s more like pubic hair when grown to lengths (Blame it on the pollution and humidity and whatever you want). But it is the truth, hence Ustraa is a ray of light.

So when, Ustraa came out with the line of products, I bought it the 3rd day itself and now have been using it since then. I am a cynical kind of person, so you will get both pros and cons below. Stay tuned…

The first product I picked by the Beard wash since I was bored and fed up of using shampoos and conditioners. The product was a delight.

  • BEARD WASH:
  • Aloe Vera, Rosemary Oil, Almond Oil & Lactic Acid
  • Aqua, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Coco Glucoside, Amidopropyl Betain, Ethoxylated Lanolin, Ceteareth-60 Myristyle Glycol & Essential Oils.

Apart from leaving a pleasant aroma and great texture, it really makes the hair tangle free and removes any dirt or garbage stuck in there. It make the hair soft as well, however the only negative is, the effect of the wash is not long lasting. I mean if you are a bearded biker, you need to have patience after using the product and give it time before you can jump on the saddle. Aloe Vera and Oils do make your beard feel fresh and soft. Only catch it, do remember to groom it further using comb and drier to make it straight. But anyways, that is something you will have to do yourself.

On the other hand, the beard and mooch tonic is also a great product to use. I personally loved the old school and smokehouse aroma. It is really refreshing and leaves the beard ready to be groomed and leaves you lady drooling.

  • BEARD TONIC:
  • Natural Preservatives
  • Silicone Fluid, IPM, Easttosil, Cyclomethicone, Coconut Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Jojoba Oil & Essential Oils.

The only major issue I found was the bottles. They somehow started leaking and using them while traveling was an issue for me. If the bottle seals could have been tighter and travel safe, it would have been 100% perfect product for me.

I still use my DIY products but these products from Ustraa have really eased my pains in the butt.

Verdict

Go ahead and use the products. It’s better to have a groomed beard rather than pubic hair on the face. Oh yes! I know you know what I mean! Looking forward to use more products. Will review rest and post soon. Till then! Have fun with the mooch & beard! GROW!
