Offensive India.. Need of the hour..

How many of you have felt like “I am proud to be an Indian” while standing on the border of India and Pakistan. Be it the Wagah Border or the Rajasthan border near Sam Sand dunes which are about 50 KM from Jaisalmer. Last year on our trip to Rajasthan, we visited the Sam Sand Dune border area. The serenity of the desert and the slow breeze of the evening made it a die-for-moment. As we parked our cars in the BSF camp and looked at the sun going down at the horizon, in that moment of silence when we saw the Pakistani posts, there was a sense of pride in us. Though, none spoke a word coz no words could describe the feeling. There is something about India that makes you feel different. People on the other side might feel the same about their nation but there is a difference. We all know what that country is going through, yet it never ceases to make up their mind and for once, try to make peace. Even if we dont go by the words of media, we know it is there.

As the darkness settled, we bid farewell to the soldiers, exchanged some smiles and laughs. Today, as I read in the newspapers about the ceasefire violations in Kashmir area and deaths of soldiers and civilians, there is a certain anger developing inside me. I mean, we allow the artists of that country to come here and perform and earn a livelihood which they were not getting there. Former cricketers coming here as commentators. Even if they take side of their home country in matches, we do not utter a word coz we have that spirit in us which makes us stand apart. This is the greatness of a nation.

Yet, we are termed as killers and are pointed at. Politically, I aligned to no one but anyone who can take care of our nation and its people. I may be an outcast who doesn’t believe in borders or differentiates between people across this earth, but I cannot tolerate the killing done by the neighboring nation on the people who have done no harm to them. They were given a land and they should be happy with it. Kashmir is an integral part of India. Just like Delhi, Assam, Karnataka or Orissa, it was, is and will always be a part of India. But, then I also hear some people asking for an independent Kashmir. I understand they are fed up of the army rule and rest of the stuff, but again it is for their safety right? When they were hit with floods, I have seen people across India rushing for help. Sending everything they could. And we also know what was happening across the LOC. Are you blind? No one is happy. Everyone wants something extra. The desire that kills you from inside and makes you inhuman.

Then I hear my peers speaking about peace and raising questions on Modi or the Indian Army for firing back and retaliating to the violation of ceasefire. I haven’t seen more dumb and fucked up people. They have a problem with everything. If you want peace talks, pls get up, go to the border and try to talk. Go and do it once. What’s the difference between Billawal and you? He says we are acting like the Israel. I say, its good we are. That small country is an ideal country. Surrounded by enemies at all sides, it is still on the map and the strongest nation ever. They are fighting for survival and so are we. They have a land which others want to grab, same here. So why should we act differently. If I go by these people, we should fold our hands and ask others to have some mercy and let them take whatever they want. In life, one has to make hard decisions and stand by it. So, stop fucking yourselves and realize it as soon as possible that no idiot has the right to enter our nation and take whatever they want. Do you allow some stranger to enter your home? This is an old question, I know and the answer is no.. I know..

So it’s high time to stand up and be like Israel if we have to.. Coz sometimes, offense is good for health.

Memoirs of a Monk….

It’s really a boring day today, it’s a semi holiday today in office and not many people have turned up so I thought why not express a story of mine in words and share. It’s not a random story, it’s a part of my own biography.

Many times I have woken up 3 AM in the morning when I slept at 1 in wonder that why, why was I born in this world at this point of era. I have been a decent son, a friend who is always there to help his mates, one who can do anything freaky and weird for them in order to make them smile. I do not like dull moments in my life, well, nobody does is what you will say. But, I don’t even like a dull moment in life of people around me. I am not saying I am person who is jolly and keeps laughing, but I am someone who if in a dull moment, helps everyone come out of it. My expertise start when a dull moment start. If the environment is already filled with happiness, I will enjoy with you. If it is boring, sad and dull, call me over and party will begin. The main issue with me is, I want everyone to be happy always.

This happiness may not come easily as people are stuck in desires and dreams. But wake up, whatever you have/ do not have,
at least you have a moment, a soul and a life. Be happy with it. It is said “make the most of it” or have you made it large?”
I would say “have you lived that moment?” Every breath you take has a lot of energy in it. the oxygen you inhale, goes through your nostrils, fills your wind pipe… reaches the lungs, mixes with blood which takes it all over your body which is a a mesh of veins and arteries, a whole thick forest and then burns the food to release energy and this happens every mili-second of your life.

Do understand here that I am not saying to dance every now and then and party. Even when you are sitting idle and quiet feel the happiness in air and let it surround you. Last night I was feeling restless so I took my car out for a drive alone. 50 Km out of the city and I stopped it. Locked my car, took a pee…. LOL… I had a fag and lied down on my car’s bonnet and just looked up. It was an irony that I was smoking and looking at the stars and feeling lively. 🙂 hehe… but to come and think of it. Life starts and ends. While lying there for 45 minutes, I was happy because it was peaceful for me (making exception of trucks and their beloved horns on national highway). I was enjoying every breath and the stars were wonderful.. made me feel, I belong to a separate world, a more happy and peaceful environment lost somewhere in this world.

While driving back home, I realised that I may not be good at the work I am currently doing, I may not be happy with it but I am also not sad about it. It gives me a paycheque at least…lol… but money doesn’t matter. I am very restless and can’t sit idle. Hence, when I am with friends, I make it a point that they enjoy the moment. If I die or go away, they will remember me not because of our meetings and my abusing them for not doing work properly, but by the moments of joy that we had shared and a simple smile which I was able to make happen on their faces.

So, my advice for today is, be a person who not only brings joy to his life but others too.. Coz in the end, we all have to go away, but how about living life after death in somebody’s heart and mind.
